October 17, 1960 :
Afrique Action is born. The first issue is released in Tunis.

1961

November 21, 1961 :
Afrique Action becomes Jeune Afrique. The next year, the publication leaves Tunis for Roma to escape censorship.

1964

1964 :
Jeune Afrique relocates in Paris.

1983

1983 :
Difcom, communication agency dedicated to the African continent and Groupe Jeune Afrique’s advertising sales agency, is created.

1985

1985 :
Les éditions du Jaguar, the publishing house of Groupe Jeune Afrique, is created.

1997

December 1997 :
Jeuneafrique.com is launched

1998

May 11, 1998 :
Jeune Afrique releases its 2000th issue.

2000

January, 2000 :
Launch of the special issues series.

February 15, 2000 :
Jeune Afrique becomes L’intelligent (issue #2040).

November 2000 :
Economia, The panafrican monthly business magazine, is launched.

2003

June 2003 :
Economia is renamed Ecofinance (issue #32).

2004

October 31, 2004 :
Ecofinance goes weekly and becomes part of Jeune Afrique (Jeune Afrique, issue #2286).

2005

May 2005 :
The Africa Report, the English language quarterly publication focused on African affairs, is launched.

2006

February 26, 2006 :
L’intelligent becomes Jeune Afrique again (issue #2355).

2008

April 2008 :
The Africa Report goes bi-monthly (issue #10).
